Jordan H. has been teaching for 8 years, received an associates music degree from SLCC and is currently pursuing a music degree from the University of Utah. His fun and accessible teaching style is perfect for beginning students of all ages.
Chris is one of the newest guitar teacher at On Chord. With 7 years teaching experience, Chris is On Chord Academy’s resident shredder, and is also very skilled in funk, jazz and more. Chris often goes out on the raod as a sit-in guitarist.
Jordan Olsen has been teaching guitar for over 3 years, since opening On Chord Academy. He received a guitar certificate through the Berklee College of Music. His enthusiasm for education helps Jordan engage his students in learning guitar.
With a background in flamenco and blues, Jerry Parsons brings a unique style to guitar lessons. Jerry attended the Musicians Institute and plays in various musical groups ranging from Flamenco and Brazilian to Traditional Celtic Music.
Although not his primary instrument, John is one of On Chords favorite guitar teachers. With a lot of energy and a creative approach to targeted exercises, John has seen a lot of success with our younger students, as well as guitar students of any age.
Voice, Drum, & Ukulele Teachers
Jill has a diverse vocal background that ranges from Musical Theater and Opera to Celtic and Rock. Her upbeat style, vast knowledge and extensive experience with teens and youth, help her nurture a love of singing and performing in her voice students.
Nathan has been teaching at On Chord Academy for 3 years, and he taught privately for a few years before that. Nate is heavily involved in the Davis and Weber music scenes, holding regular drum circles and group classes for the local school districts.
John has over 5 years of teaching experience, adding ukulele to his repertoire 2 years. John’s pleasant personality, upbeat attitude, and creativity make him a more than capable ukulele instructor, especially with younger learners.
John has more than 5 years experience teaching bass, and 23 playing it. He plays a little bit of everything, and aims to develop versatility in his students. He studied Jazz Performance at the University of Northern Colorado and used to tour Europe with a bluegrass band.
Jerry brings more than 30 years of music experience to teaching bass lessons. With an education in rock music, and experience in blues, country, classical and world music, Jerry brings a lot of different elements to encourage his bass students to grow.
