Jordan Huston’s Lessons
Jordan’s courses focuses on the student’s specific goals, combining basic materials with hands on experience drawn from the student’s favorite music.
He provides instruction for both acoustic and electric guitars and is proficient in teaching rock, blues, folk and alternative styles.
Along the way his students will master strumming rhythms, fingerstyle, reading music, theory as well as song writing, to beginning and intermediate students of any age.
- Beginning students learn in their first month to play chords, basic scales, and simple strumming patterns as well as how to read tablature and chord diagrams.
- By month six beginning students will have some of their favorite songs under their belt along with a wider array of chords and strumming patterns.
- By the end of their first year a beginning student will have performance worthy songs in their repertoire along with a solid knowledge of many scales, chords, and a beginning understanding of the theory.
- Intermediate guitarists can use Jordan’s instruction to fill gaps in their overall guitar playing, technique, and music knowledge. Whether it’s playing & utilizing scales, ear training, understanding and applying music theory, guitar technique, or song writing — Jordan can teach intermediate students to become more versatile musicians who can jump into a musical scenario with confidence and have a larger set of tools at their disposal.
Jordan Huston was one of the first guitar teachers at On Chord Academy, and over the last 3.5 years he has distinguished himself as our most popular instructor.
